The Center for Psychology and Counseling
Established in 1994, The Center for Psychology & Counseling provides professional and comprehensive psychological services to those in need. Our center is committed to upholding professional and ethical standards to ensure quality care that instills confidence and comfort. Using individual, family, couples, or group therapy, we provide effective treatment modalities that are mindful of patient needs with regard to confidentiality, security, and respect. Additional services are available for a comprehensive approach to treatment.
Our Location
The Center for Psychology & Counseling is housed in an historic 200-year-old stone farmhouse surrounded by graceful trees and gardens. We are conveniently located on the southern edge of Doylestown Borough, just off Route 611, with ample parking at the door.
Our Staff
Harvey W. Ziff, Ph.D.
Dr. Ziff Clinical Director Harvey W. Ziff, Ph.D. is a Pennsylvania licensed psychologist with more than twenty years experience working with children, adolescents, adults, groups, and schools. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, Pennsylvania Psychological Association, Philadelphia Society of Clinical Psychologists, and Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Ziff is also an adjunct faculty member of Widener University.
Julie M. Ziff, LCSW
 
Co-Director Julie M. Ziff, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a family and play therapist. Ms. Ziff received her training in Family Therapy at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic She has more than twenty years of counseling and supervisory experience. Ms. Ziff is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Association for Play Therapy.
          Daniel J. Leichter, Psy.D.

Dr. Leichter is a compassionate and accomplished psychologist with over ten years of experience providing clinical services in a variety of settings. He utilizes a multi-modal approach grounded in psychodynamic theory and cognitive behavioral technique. He considers the therapeutic relationship to be a true privilege, as well as the primary vehicle to interpersonal understanding, change and healing. Dr. Leichter enjoys working with individuals, families, and organizations. His clinical interests include the treatment of anxiety and depression, adolescent issues, life transition adjustment, emotional intelligence, and hypnotherapy. He completed his graduate studies at Widener University's Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology and is on the clinical staff at Belmont Behavioral Health and the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network.

          Valerie A. Fahie, MA, LPC
   

 

Valerie Fahie is a Pennsylvania Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in child and adolescent issues.

          Nadine Sobusiak, M.Ed.
         

Nadine Sobusiak is a Central Bucks Elementary School Counselor and former teacher with 20 years experience.  She leads our children's anxiety and stress management program and is on staff at Camp Friendship.

           Jennifer L. Fleming, M.Ed., NCSP
  Jennifer L. Fleming is a certified school psychologist.  Ms. Fleming conducts psychoeducational evaluations and testing.  She is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists
            Lindsay MacGeorge, B.A.
 

Lindsay MacGeorge is a Counseling Intern here at the Center.  Ms. MacGeorge is pursuing her Masters in Counseling, specializing in child and family counseling as well as trauma counseling.  She leads and assists with social skills groups for children and is on staff at Camp Friendship.

           Buddy
         Buddy is a 6 year old Golden Retriever, who is very friendly, smart and caring.  Buddy enjoys head rubs, dog bones and swimming.  Buddy helps out around the office and is there for support for those who need it. 
Appointment and Fees
